Lisa Misher is currently the VP of Financial Reporting at Silverstein Properties, a privately-held, full-service real estate development, investment and management firm based in New York that has developed, owned and managed more than 40 million square feet of office, residential, hotel and retail properties. In this role, Lisa reports directly to the CFO and co-manages a team of 18-20 accountants. She oversees the financial recording of transactions, ensuring compliance with the appropriate standards, as well as the drafting and issuance of financial statements and reports. 

Prior to this role, Lisa served as the Director of Finance (and most senior finance or accounting professional, reporting to the CEO) of a start-up boutique fitness company, managing all aspects of financial recording and reporting as well as external relationships. She worked closely with the strategic operations team to help prepare investor and Board packages and presentations. She streamlined processes within the company and performed a company-wide expenditure analysis, which resulted in the identification of significant cost savings opportunities. Lisa spent almost 15 years in public accounting at one of the Big Four global accounting firms. In her most recent role as a senior manager in the company’s audit department, she was responsible for providing services to clients of varying sizes and strategies ranging from $100M to $36B. She worked on two successful IPO's and on the execution of several SEC filings, and served as the team’s liaison with her clients’ senior executives.

Lisa served as a Board Member on an internal United Jewish Appeals-Federation commission for three years. During her time in public accounting, Lisa served as a counselor to staff and senior auditors, contributing to career development through mentoring and counseling, and also as a mentor in the firm’s Diversity Mentoring program. In addition, she facilitated various training programs and orientations and was heavily involved in on-campus recruiting for the firm. Outside of the firm, she served as a mentor to a high school student as part of the Good Shepherd Services organization for seven years.
